Join Dr. Catherine Ramirez for warm-up exercises that prepare you for your best work. Heighten your listening skills, identify blocks to your progress, and experience the fruitful space of awareness as the gateway to improvement and becoming your own best teacher.

Combined Flute Choir with Megan Makeever
Flutists of all abilities are invited to play fun and sight-readable flute choir music together! The combined flute choir will perform the festival participant concert program on Saturday evening.
Masterclass with Dr. Tammy Evans-Yonce

"Finding Your Voice" Workshop by Flutistry with Adam Workman
(30 min class):
This popular presentation highlights our passion for helping the greater flute community to perform at their very best. "Finding Your Voice" outlines how to find an ideal equipment match with the goal of forming an essential partnership that can give you every advantage towards reaching your artist goals.
We also review how to navigate the often complex artistic, logistical, and financial factors essential in any purchase process and remedy the stresses of a complicated process, expedite your search, and give you the confidence that you are making an informed investment.

Ask the guest artists about their flute story, careers, pedagogy, flute techniques, etc.!
4:30pm - 5:30pm
Advanced Flute Choir with Dr. Tammy Evans-Yonce
Advanced flutists are invited to sight-read exciting flute choir music with conductor, Tammy Yonce. This flute choir will also perform on the festival participant recital program on Saturday evening.
Flute Fundamentals with Lauren Reineking
For beginning flutists of all ages, this session with Lauren will explore fundamental flute topics such as tone, vibrato, pitch, technique, articulation, breathing, and body awareness. This pressure-free environment will involve mostly group and partner playing activities and will incorporate these fundamental ideas into flute music. All participating flutists can expect to leave feeling more confident on the fundamentals of flute, as well as leaving with new friends!
