Montana Flute Festival 2026

Montana State University- Bozeman
Join flutists from across the state for a fun and laid-back day of all things flute! Events to include open flute choir reading sessions for multiple age and ability levels, flute ensemble concert performances, instrument and accessory exhibitors, educational sessions on injury prevention, wellness, and pedagogy and opportunities for solo performance including masterclasses for multiple ages and ability levels! Join a regional flute ensemble, bring a friend to play in a small group, or come as a soloist! Flutists enthusiasts of all ages and ability levels are welcome!
Tentative Schedule (subject to change)!
7:30- Check-in and on site registration open- complimentary breakfast pastries
8-8:50- Warm up with Joanna!
9-10- Low Flutes (and piccolo!) with Lauren!
10:15-noon- National Flute Convention performance group rehearsal OR Small group readings OR Flute trial time in the vendor room
Noon-1:30- Lunch break
1:30-2:15- Stretches with Katie OR Tuning tips OR How to practice
2:30-3:30-Masterclass OR Teaching tips for working with young players
3:45-4:45- Recital warm-up for anyone performing OR Flute Trial time in the vendor room
5-6:30- Final recital/concert (open to public- non-MFA members suggested donation of $10- supporting the National Flute Convention trip!)
